Everything you create in DinnerBell — recipes, weekly meal plans, your pantry list, family member profiles and food preferences, meal ratings — is stored locally on your device and, if you use Apple's iCloud, synced through your personal iCloud account under Apple's terms. We (the developer) cannot access any of it.
DinnerBell's planning suggestions, chat assistant, and recipe-photo import run on Apple Intelligence: Apple's on-device models and, for some requests, Apple's Private Cloud Compute, which is designed by Apple so that personal data is not stored or accessible to anyone, including Apple. If you explicitly choose a third-party AI provider for a request, that request is handled under the provider's terms and we send only what's needed for that request. DinnerBell never uses your data to train models.
DinnerBell is made for families. Because the app collects no personal data from anyone, it collects no personal data from children. Family member profiles (names, ages, food preferences) exist only on your device and your iCloud.
